KYOS

Energy, (Strategy) Consulting

Are you interested to apply your quant skills to (renewable) energy? Do you want to understand the ins and outs of the highly complex energy markets? Do you want to help customers navigate the challenges of the energy transition? Then KYOS might be the perfect option for you!

We are an international team of 40 people, based in Haarlem, working on quant model development and a range of different international consulting projects. Since the foundation of KYOS in 2008 (by Cyriel de Jong, econometrician by background), our mission is to serve our customers in the energy business, or those working with commodities, with superior models to aid with decision-making.

They use our analytical models to their advantage.

The challenges the energy transition brings and the complex nature of the energy markets, require a combination of quantitative models and a thorough understanding of market developments. Stochastic optimization techniques, data science and statistical research as well as Monte Carlo simulation approaches play a crucial role. All of this must be supported by high-quality data and continuous research.

KYOS' flagship product, the KYOS Analytical Platform, is therefore based on a strong grasp of the energy markets and sophisticated financial-mathematical algorithms.

Our customers are mostly large international companies in the energy and commodity industries. They operate across Europe and beyond, and use our solutions to make optimal investment decisions, manage price risks, optimize the use of their assets (power plants, energy storage, renewable power projects and PPAs), make optimal trading decisions, and assess future market price scenarios.

A perfect match for a goal-oriented quant with a passion for energy, energy markets and the energy transition!!
