PROGRAM

Opening plenary session by Sander Schimmelpenninck
Sander Schimmelpenninck will kick off the LED 2022 with an interactive talk. Sander Cornelis graaf Schimmelpenninck (Hengelo, 26 June 1984) is a Dutch journalist, opinion maker and presenter. From 2016 to September 2020, he was editor-in-chief of quote magazine. Since September 2019, he has been a columnist for the daily newspaper de Volkskrant. He also started a podcast “de Zelfspodcast” with his college friend Jaap Reesema, which has now transformed into an entire media company called Tonny Media.

Morning & afternoon Company Cases
the LED 2022 will include many different company cases. A company case consists of a 2,5 hour workshop given by a company in which you will be given an assignment and a company presentation. This way, you will get to learn a lot about the company and its approaches in their day-to-day work. Similar to the companies present at the company fair, the companies that will be hosting company cases in the morning will differ from the ones that will host a company case in the afternoon. The company cases will be given in the NBC. Make sure to check out which companies will be hosting cases at the two different dayparts in the schedule and keep this in mind while stating your preferences during your registration.
The upcoming section will include a company profile and a case description of all the companies that will be giving a company case at the LED 2022. You can also find several facts and statistics of the companies, which may help you in your selection process.

Speeddates & Company fair
This year, we wanted to give the students a chance to talk to companies on a more personal level. Therefore we added speeddates to the program. You will have a maximum of 5 speeddates, 10 minutes each, with 5 different companies. Each speeddate will consist out of 3 students and a recruiter of one company. Between each speeddate, you will have a short break. After the speeddates, the company fair will take place so that you will have the chance to talk to the companies you haven’t had a speeddate with.

The company fair will be hosted at the Start-up Village, in the NBC. During both the morning and afternoon sessions, there will be over 15 different companies present. The company fair provides the perfect opportunity for you to get to know multiple companies and their representatives all at once. The company fair will be hosted at the Start-up Village, in the NBC. The companies that are present at the fair can bring interactive goodies so that you will get to know these companies in a different and exciting way. Lunch
At the lunch, companies will have their own table in the main Event Hall. While enjoying a delicious lunch, you will have the opportunity to talk to the companies in an informal way. All companies participating in the morning program (except the start-up companies) will be present during the lunch.

Closing plenary session with Bob Maclaren
In this session you can sit back and relax, while enjoying a live show organised by Bob Maclaren. This native New Zealander once won the New Zealand Funniest Face Award when he still lived in a far corner of our planet. With that prestigious prize in his pocket, he traveled around the world, visited dozens of humorous festivals and finally settled, like a true kiwi, on Dutch soil. Bob Maclaren has witty and surprising observations about the Dutch. Think of: Dutch holidays, religions and drink intake. Years of seclusion on the tropical island and the madness of Amsterdam make Bob’s view of the world unique. Bob is a master at physically portraying situations and his comic mimicry stays with you. A storyteller at heart, soul and hysterical body language.

Networking drinks
While enjoying a glass at the networking drink, you will have the opportunity to get in contact with companies.

Recruitment dinner
At the end of the day we will provide a luxurious three-course dinner. During the dinner, you can get to know two companies extensively and you can enjoy some dinner entertainment.
